I am pleased to announce that my solo exhibition, "NIHONGA – Japán festészeti kiállítás," will be held at the Munkácsy Mihály Museum in Békéscsaba, Hungary.
The exhibition will take place from Thursday, June 26 to Sunday, August 24, 2025 (closed on Mondays), at the Pátkai Ervin Exhibition Hall.
This exhibition features my works centered around the theme of “Vital Force”—including cherry blossom paintings I have created over many years, as well as early works depicting animals and plants.I hope visitors will also enjoy the distinctive materials and traditional techniques unique to Nihonga (Japanese-style painting).
The opening ceremony will be honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Mr. Péter Szarvas, Mayor of Békéscsaba, and Mr. Ken Ozaki, Counsellor and Head of Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of Japan in Hungary.Dr. Gábor Bácsmegi, Director of the Museum, and Ms. Csilla Schmitt, Curator, will also kindly introduce the exhibition.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Munkácsy Mihály Museum and the Hungarian–Japanese Friendship Association Szombathely as the organizers, and to the supporters: The Japan Foundation – Budapest Japanese Cultural Center, the Municipality of Békéscsaba, the Békéscsaba Media Center, and the Munkácsy Negyed Cultural District Project.
I sincerely hope many of you will be able to attend.
